I have the following other roles and responsibilities:

  • Volunteer for Marie Curie Cancer Care Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and East Staffordshire, 1999-present;

  • Co-organiser, E-Learning in Mathematical Subjects (ELMS), Nottingham Trent University, 11/2005-present (ELMS website);

  • I co-founded and Chair Accessing Maths, Stats and OR (AccessMSOR), a Working Group of the Higher Education Academy Maths, Stats and OR Network looking into issues around supporting students with disabilities in MSOR subjects, 02/2008-present. (MSOR Network Accessibility webpage);

  • I coordinate and contribute to two regular features in the Higher Education Academy Maths, Stats and OR Network Connections Newsletter: "MathML/XML Series" (since 11/2005) and "Supporting Students with Disabilities Series" (since 11/2006) (Connections webpages);

  • Committee member, Institute of Mathematics and its Applications East Midlands Branch, 05/2007-present. [Suggesting and organising talks and social events for the local IMA branch]

I have previously held the following other roles and responsibilities:

  • Student representative, College Research Degrees Committee, Science & Technology, Nottingham Trent University, 01/2006-12/2007;
    [I represented research students from my School at this College (cf. Faculty) level committee meeting]

  • Student representative, Course Committee, MSc Applied Multimedia, Nottingham Trent University, 01/2003-12/2003.

Additionally, I am a Director of Rhodes and Rowlett Limited, 04/2007-present (Rhodes and Rowlett website). [Formed limited company with business partner, occasional web development work]
